  37.    To run the 32-bit Navigator, you MUST have a 32-bit TCP/IP stack.
  38.    Both Windows 95 and Windows NT provide built-in 32bit TCP/IP
  39.    stacks that you can set up.  You can also get TCP/IP
  40.    software from third-party vendors, such as Trumpet Software
  41.    or Ftp Software.

  43.    To run the 16-bit Navigator, you MUST have a 16-bit TCP/IP stack.
  44.    You can get (16-bit) TCP/IP software from third-party vendors, such as
  45.    Trumpet Software and Ftp Software.

  47.    To obtain a copy of Netscape Navigator, download one of the
  48.    self-extracting executable files into a temporary directory.

  50.         For 32-bit : n32e40.exe 
  51.         For 16-bit : n16e40.exe

  53.    Double-click on the self-extracting file
  54.    to start the installation process automatically.

  57. * Windows 95 users, if you are using any versions prior to this
  58.   release, you will get multiple uninstall entries in your
  59.   Add/Remove program.  If you prefer not having multiple
  60.   entries, you should do an uninstall to remove your previous
  61.   version of Navigator before you install the new release.

  63. * The Netscape Audio Plug-in will only work if you have a sound
  64.   card installed and configured properly.  It will not work
  65.   with the PC speaker driver. Please check your sound card manual
  66.   to configure the sound card.

  68. * If you had previously installed CoolTalk Watchdog, then you must
  69.   uninstall the version you have and reboot your machine before
  70.   installing the latest version.  You might experience some
  71.   problems running Cooltalk with Matrox MGA Millennium graphic 
  72.   adapters using early Windows95 drivers. Make sure that you are 
  73.   running version 2.22.039 or later.

  75. * If you have an existing version of Communicator 4.0 installed, it
  76.   is recommended you uninstall it before installing Navigator 4.0.

  88. What do I need to run Netscape Navigator?

  90. There are two requirements for Netscape Navigator:

  92.     1. A direct Ethernet connection to the network (providing intranet or 
  93.        Internet access), or a dialup SLIP or PPP account from an Internet 
  94.        service provider.
  95.  
  96.     2. TCP/IP stack.
  97.  
  98. You can get a direct connection to the Internet through a service
  99. provider in your area.  Your network administrator can help
  100. you connect to your intranet. Your service provider or your network
  101. administrator can also provide you with a SLIP or a PPP
  102. account.

  110. The Netscape installer will overwrite existing OLE2 DLLs with the
  111. latest versions for US Windows. This will not affect 32-bit
  112. Windows. Occasionally, the Japanese user may see an English
  113. language OLE2 error message after installing Netscape Navigator.
  114. Currently, there are no Japanese versions available for the OLE2 DLLs.
